My article quality is very good so I'm not worried about that. I have a lot of useful content on my sites too. The image just gave it something extra. I have tweaked them a bit since this post and included a border with coloured background to make the sites look pretty good - better than a lot of sites, anyway :) I just want them to look as much like a normal site as possible while giving the AdSense units the best chance of CTR.
